Participants complete 2-hours of self-paced online prework before an in-person instructor-led session held via Zoom on June 15, 2023.

Learn how to respond with the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE):
Assess for risk of suicide or
Listen nonjudgmentally.
Give reassurance and
Encourage appropriate professional
Encourage self-help and other support.
What the course covers:
• Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges.
• Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges.
• How to interact with a person in crisis.
• How to connect a person with help.
• Expanded content on trauma, substance use and self-care.
